French Toast Recipe

French Toast


4 eggs
8 slices Texas Toast bread (thickly sliced white bread)
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup milk
3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dash of salt
Powdered sugar
Maple syrup


1. Pre-heat oven to 200 F.  
2. Wrap a baking sheet with aluminum foil, and slide it into the oven. 
3. Combine the eggs, heavy cream, milk, vanilla extract and salt in a mixing bowl, and whisk until well blended.
4. Melt tablespoon of butter in a large pan over medium heat.  
5. Soak 2-3 slices of bread in the egg mixture thoroughly, then transfer to the buttered pan.  Brown bread on each side for about 3 minutes, until cooked through.
6. Transfer browned french toast to the oven while cooking remaining slices. 
7. Top with powdered sugar, and maple syrup
