Eggnog Recipe

12 large egg whites
12 egg yolks
8 cups whole milk
1 cup sugar
2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups whipping cream
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 dash nutmeg
bourbon whiskey (optional)


1.  In a medium sized bowl, beat egg whites until they start to thicken.
2.  Stir in 1 cup sugar, and continue beating until thick.
3.  In another medium bowl, beat the egg yolks and salt lightly until thick
4.  Mix beaten egg whites and yolks, then beat until fully mixed.
5.  In a large bowl, beat whipping cream until it starts to thicken.
6.  Add in 2 1/2 tbsp sugar, and add vanilla to the whipping cream.
7.  *Optional - Add bourbon whiskey to taste
8.  Combine all the ingredients, adding milk, and chill.


Serve with dash of nutmeg on top
Warning - Contains raw egg.  Use clean grade A or AA eggs.  Keep chilled.
