Vegetarians Beware!  We added a new section to house our favorite meaty recipes - Barbecue!  We'll be adding plenty of new BBQ recipes in preparation for Memorial Day weekend. 

In Texas, fast cars, big guns, and tons of barbecue (BBQ, barbeque) is just a way of life.  Since I can remember, our family has smoked meats of various types throughout the year.  My first smokers were store bought, and my next will be hand made and huge (Everything is bigger in Texas, often better).

Beef is one of our top industries, and you can bet your horse - Texas style beef brisket is top notch.  When it comes to beef brisket, most Texans can agree that slow and low is the only way to smoke one.

Pork ribs, whole pig, chicken, beef brisket, beef ribs - you name it, we'll put it on a smoker and smoke it for hours and It'll taste great.

In this new category, you'll see some of our best recipes for good barbecue.  Rush in to read our recipes, but don't rush the barbecue.  Great barbecue is never rushed.

How long does it take to smoke a brisket?  About 1 1/2 hours per pound at ~225 F.
How long does it take to smoke pork ribs?  St. Louis style spare ribs, about 5 hours at ~225 F.

Do you see a theme here?  What is the ideal temp for barbecue?  About 200-250 F.
